MY NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE PICKS

My favorite season is right around the corner! I'm so excited! I miss wearing ankle and over-the-knee boots. I miss sweater weather and all that comes with it. This is the beginning of the coziest time of year. That means super cozy outfits, hot coffee instead of iced, and leaves will change color soon. This is something I get excited about when it comes around.  Sweater weather makes me feel very Gilmore Girls and I am here for it.  Is this cliché? Either way, I am smiling from ear to ear writing this. I'm so excited that I may have added a few treats. This is my first time writing a post like this. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing this.

OUTERWEAR

During the "Ber" months, outwear is used to make a statement. When I think of outerwear, I think of The Devil Wears Prada. Remember when Anne Hathaway's character got a makeover? The scenes following was of her looking like she belonged on the front cover of Vogue with the most stylish clothing. I love neutral colors. With the exception of a few items, my entire wardrobe is neutral. Sometimes I feel I may feel plain and ordinary. That's why I like to try to find pieces I might see in magazines. Teddy coats, wool coats, and moto jackets are items that never really go out of style. They come back every year like clockwork. Here I picked a few stylish outerwear pieces that won't be going out of style any time soon.

SWEATER WEATHER

Over time, the type of sweater has become very important to my wardrobe. It's not just because of the cold weather. It's because I want them to last longer. I want quality over quantity. I love a good cashmere and wool sweaters. I love cardigans and chunky knits the most. I love it when they're soft. Most importantly, I love a diverse sweater. I like wearing my sweaters to work because it gets extremely cold. I do have some casual sweaters that I adore, but I do love a smart sweater the most. This year's shopping spree was driven by comfort and style. I refused to settle for one. I managed to find sweaters that have both. Here are some of the coziest sweaters:

Dresses

These days I live in dresses. I think because I've become super lazy in the morning. I'm also not a fan of pants, but I do love a good pair of trousers. I've come to adore dresses. I'm not the kind of person who has many seasonal outfits because I tend to wear the same things all year long. As we slowly transition into a new season, I'll be bringing out the few seasonal dresses I haven't worn in a while.

As for this year's clothing haul, I chose dresses that look smart. I can go to work in them, but they also fit well with my everyday style. I can wear these whenever and be happy with my choice.

TOPS

Whether it's sweater weather or coat season, the outfit underneath matters. A beautiful blouse can go a long way. I've never been a fan of the classic white button-down shirt, but I love button-downs. Does that make sense? I also love a romantic, feminine, silky, or satin blouse. I like a blouse that flows and a blouse that can easily be tucked. I love them to look vogue ready and I like them simple. A blouse can go a long way. Nordstrom has some great picks and I'm super excited to share them with you.

BOTTOMS

It's been a long time since anyone has seen me wear pants, but I cannot deny a good pair of trousers. Besides dresses, I live in skirts. My favorite skirt is satin or silk skirts. I love ones that flow and I love ones that have a lot of tulle under it and make the skirt poofy. I used to wear only mini skirts but my love for midi and maxi skirts have taken over. They make me feel extremely feminine and soft like a kitten and I know I'm not the only one.

FOOTWEAR

Shoes! Shoes! SHOES. I love shoes. I'm a heel girl. I love all types of heeled boots and heeled sandals. I recently got some new shoes that I am excited to wear. As soon as September comes around, I'll bring them out. I've waited months to wear new shoes and the anticipation is killing me. My more recent purchases have made me want to explode with excitement.
